Gucci's new line was presented on Tuesday night in Rome - and the garments carried a message other than fashion.

周二晚，Gucci在罗马举办新品发布，然而服装所传递的信息却远远超越时尚。

A jacket emblazoned with "My body my choice," a t-shirt with "Chime for change" (Gucci's gender equality campaign) and a gown embroidered with the female reproductive system were all walked down the runway.

在秀场上，饰以“My body my choice”（我的身体我做主）字样的夹克，写有"Chime for change" （为改变而鸣：Gucci发起的平权运动）T恤，以及以女性生殖系统作为刺绣图案的长袍纷纷登场亮相。

Other pieces carried the date "May 22 1978" - the day the Italian law for social protection of motherhood and abortion came into effect.

"It's unbelievable that around the world there are still people who believe that they can control a woman's body, a woman's choice. I will always stand behind the freedom of being, always," Gucci's creative director Alessandro Michele told Independent.

The politically charged collection follows a slew of law changes across eight states in America which limit access to abortions.

Georgia became the fourth state to legalise a "heartbeat bill" which makes abortion illegal after a heartbeat is detected. Kentucky, Missisippi and Ohio have also approved this ban.

据悉，佐治亚成为美国第四个宣布「心跳法案」合法化的州。该法案规定，一旦监测到胎儿心跳，孕妇即被禁止堕胎。肯塔基、密西西比和俄亥俄州同样通过了该禁令。

Alabama has outlawed abortion completely, even for cases of rape or incest. Any doctor who carries out the procedure could face a felony conviction and a life sentence.

阿拉巴马州实施了彻头彻尾的堕胎禁令，即使女性在强奸或乱伦的前提下受孕也不允许堕胎。任何实施堕胎手术的医生都将面临重罪判罚以及终身监禁。

A number of celebrities have spoken out in protest of the laws, including Alyssa Milano and Lady Gaga.
