A generous shopper has helped struggling families by paying off a total of $20,400 worth of layby bills on Christmas presents for their children.

On Friday, a man named Charlie K walked into Toys 'R' Us in New Jersey with his son during a live broadcast and announced he's paying off all the layby orders in the store.
